Char Dham Temples of India

Char Dham are the four most religious places in India. Char Dham includes Badrinath, Puri, Dwarka, and Rameshwaram are the most visited pilgrimage of our country where every Hindu will try to visit atleast once in the lifetime.

Badrinath

This temple is dedicated to Lord Vishnu, and highly visited pilgrimage of India. The Badrinath temple is also known as Badrinarayan temple, and it is situated in Uttrakhand’s Badrinath town.
The temple opens only for the six months in a year, and May to October is the best time to visit Badrinath temple. This temple is located at the banks of the Alaknanda river. Badrinath is located in the Northern part of India.

Dwarka

Dwarka is considered as the one of the holiest cities in India. The Dwarkadish temple is located in Dwarka, Gujarat and it is dedicated to Lord Krishna. The Dwarkadish temple is also known as Jagat Mandir. The architecture of Dwarka is wonderful and majestic.
Dwarka can be visited all round the year, but the best time to visit the temple is either August or September because of the Krishna Janmashtmi.

Puri

Puri is famous for Shri Jagannath temple, and it is blessed with some of the best beaches in India. Puri is situated in the eastern part of the Odisha. The Jagannath Mandir is dedicated to Lord Jagannath. Millions of tourist visits the city from all over the world.
In Puri, Shri Jagannath is worshipped along with sister Devi Subhadra, and elder brother Shri Blabhadra. Rath Yatra of Shri Jagannath is the most famous Rath Yatraof the world. During this festivel, large number of devotees will be gathered.

Rameshwaram

Rameshwaram is the popular holiest place in India, and it is located in Tamil Nadu. Rameshwaram is dedicated to Lord Shiva. Rameshwaram temple is also the part of the 12 Jyotirlinga. Devotees of Lord Shiva visit ateast once in their lifetime to the Jyotirlinga that is installed in Rameshwaram temple.
